My name is Adele Walker. I’m a proud mom, devoted wife, former police officer, and small business owner, right here in Selma, NC.

My life has been a journey of blessings, but also challenges, and I have faced each one with unwavering determination. Now I’m running for mayor of this wonderful town I call home.

My primary goal is to work alongside the council and focus on communication, strategic planning, and fostering a proactive mindset. Essentially, I want to make a positive impact on the community’s daily life and long-term future to improve our town’s infrastructure. I plan to start by addressing issues related to damaged and flooding roads, acknowledging community concerns, and collaborating with our council to build a strong team within the Town of Selma departments. A strong team means adopting a proactive and strategic approach, attracting top talent, building a positive culture, and fostering a supportive environment. This includes clearly defining roles, promoting from within, and using diverse recruitment strategies. I am committed to restoring true transparency in leadership while actively listening to and prioritizing the needs of our community.
